Van Coke Kartel have released a music video for “Voor Ons Stof Word”. It’s the first track off their upcoming album, Skop Skiet en Donner.
I’ve seen Van Coke Kartel live a few times since 2007. This Afrikaans rock outfit from Bellville seems to be on the path to becoming one of the best rock bands in South African music history. Francois van Coke (Fokofpolisiekar), Wynand Myburgh (Fokofpolisiekar) and Justin Kruger are the members of Van Coke Kartel (if you didn’t know already).
They will be releasing their 3rd studio album in February / March 2010 which will be entitled Skop, Skiet en Donner. Van Coke Kartel have released the first track off their upcoming album today.
Van Coke Kartel is currently on tour in the coastal regions of South Africa
Van Coke Kartel will be appearing on the 15th December (as part of Vanfokkingtasties) at Flamingos in Langebaan (near Cape Town) on the 26th of December at the Groot Gees Fees in Stilbaai, on the 28th of December (as part of Vanfokkingtasties) at the Piesangvallei City Hall in Plettenberg Bay, on the 29th of December (as part of Vanfokkingtasties) at Supertubes in Jeffrey’s Bay and on the 30th of December (as part of Vanfokkingtasties) at the Mossel bay City Hall in Mossel Bay. Get out and support South African music if you can in the festive season!
