In 2019 Fokofpolisiekar celebrated their 16th birthday with the Fokof Sweet 16 event at Loftus Versfeld (on the D-Field) in Pretoria.

Fokof Sweet 16 was a memorable affair, featuring performances by Hellcats, Fuzigish and Fokofpolisiekar. It was a boiling hot day in the capital city and it was one of the coolest events that attended in 2019. The whole Fokofpolisiekar set was recorded and released as a Live Album.
The whole event was a memorable affair. I remember the energy that the 4000+ strong crowd projected. It was extremely intense and very positive overall. I actually remember this show very clearly because the amount of Jägermeister I consumed on the day was a lot less than usual.
Fokofpolisiekar utilized an inflatable boat device during their set and I think Francois Van Coke jumped onto it at least 5 times. I snapped this photo of Frannie and the inflatable on during their set and it has been selected as this week’s photo of the week on SA Music Zone,
In case you did not know, Fokofpolisiekar are celebrating their 20th birthday this weekend (on the 7th of October 2023) in Pretoria at the same venue where they celebrated their 16th birthday!
