Liefde By Die Dam 2024 was hosted at Emmerentia Dam in Joburg over the weekend and it was a massive jol. 15,000 people made their way to the event (which was first held in 2016).
My 2 Cents on Liefde By Die Dam 2024
Liefde By Die Dam 2024 ran like a well-oiled machine. There were minimal technical issues. The bar area was massive and probably one of the longest bar areas that I’ve seen at a festival. There were tons of food stalls who were selling some really delicious cuisine.
The performances were amazing and served as a testament to the state of South African music. It’s alive and well folks and it’s not going anywhere. It was the first time that I watched Droomsindroom and Die Piesangskille and I was pretty damn impressed. It was also lekker checking out Francois Van Coke, Die Heuwels Fantasties and Robbie Wessels’ sets.
I snapped this photo at the event on Saturday (the 3rd of August 2024) and it has been selected as the Photo Of The Week on SA Music Zone.
