After the phenomenal success of last year’s sold-out debut, multiple award-winning South African DJ and producer Oskido has announced the return of Big Day Out—his signature lifestyle festival—set to light up Johannesburg once again in November 2025.
Oskido’s Big Day Out is a Celebration of Sound, Taste, and Culture
Building on the magic of its 2024 launch, Big Day Out 2025 is back with even more energy, flavour, and unforgettable moments. The festival will bring together the best of South African music, mouthwatering food, and vibrant local culture in one epic day-long celebration.
Hosted in the heart of Johannesburg, the event will be a dynamic fusion of heritage and modern style, featuring a lineup that spans musical legends, the hottest current acts, and rising stars, all matched by an equally diverse culinary experience.
Last year’s crowd was swept away by the golden era of kwaito and house music classics, and this year, Oskido is dialing up both the nostalgia and the new-school flair. Expect iconic tunes, fresh beats, and high-energy performances that cross generations and genres.
Festival-goers can also look forward to a fully immersive lifestyle experience—complete with curated food zones, interactive installations, and show-stopping live performances.
“The response to the first Big Day Out totally blew the team and I away,” says Oskido. “In 2025, we’re taking it to another level – more artists, more music, and more ways to celebrate the diversity of the South Africans we are. This festival is for anyone who’s ever danced to a kwaito beat or lost themselves in a house groove. It’s our story, told through sound, taste and style. See you in November!”
