In September 2022 I made my way to my second Bos Boogie Festival (which is usually held on a plot on the outskirts of Pretoria).
More info about Bos Boogie Festival
Once (or twice) a year Bos Boogie Festival brings you amazing live music, the “gees” of the most awesome people, Bositivity, epic festival food, cozy camping, and you’ll also have the chance to make memories that will last forever.
The September 2022 edition of the festival featured performances by Die Horries, Koos Kombuis, West Coast Wolves, Fourth Son South, Wonderboom and others.
I snapped this photo of Wonderboom during their performance on the Saturday at the festival and it has been selected as the Photo Of The Week on SA Music Zone.
More info about Wonderboom
Wonderboom is a four-piece South African rock band from Johannesburg, formed in 1996 by members of The Eight Legged Groove Machine and The Electric Petals. Initially called The Electric Petal Groove Machine, they opened for Simple Minds shortly after forming.
In 1997, they adopted the name Wonderboom. Drummer Danny de Wet left in 2009 and was replaced by Garth McLeod, who was succeeded by Jonathan Bell after McLeod’s death in 2013.
