The 30th annual South African Music Awards (SAMA 30) crowned the crème de la crème of the music industry at the Gallagher convention centre on Saturday (the 2nd of November 2024).
By most accounts, 2024 has been a landmark year for Tyla. The “Water” hit-maker capped it off on a high note, taking home four awards at this year’s South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
The Grammy-winning singer, already celebrated internationally with numerous accolades, was recognized on Saturday by the SAMAs for her outstanding achievements.
Known for her song “Truth or Dare”, Tyla won Ukhozi FM Female Artist of the Year, SANTAM Newcomer of the Year, and Best Pop Album for her self-titled debut album, Tyla. She was also awarded the International Achievement accolade, bringing her total wins at the event to four.
