Karen Zoid played a lekker set at Zoid’s Zenzational Lucky Packet Party on the 4th of February 2023 and I was there to take photos and enjoy the show at Loftus Park Centre (in Pretoria).
The event also featured performances by Hennas, Chaos in September, Bad Peter, The Black Cat Bones, Tollie Parton, aKING and #SOZLOL. It was a well-organized event on a sunny fun-filled day in the capital city and I enjoyed every second of it.

Karen Zoid is a renowned South African rock singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer, and talk show host. She has received acclaim for her contributions in both English and Afrikaans, earning her the title of South Africa’s “Queen of Rock” from various prominent local publications. The media has also coined the term “Zoid Generation” to refer to her followers and the broader South African youth influenced by her.
