The Ravensmead-born sensation Temple Boys CPT are back – louder, sharper, and more sure of themselves than ever.
Their new album, Ons is Hier, is a nine-track eruption of raw Gqom energy infused with the distinct sound they’ve shaped over the years, a sound that’s cemented them as boundary-pushers in South Africa’s urban music landscape.

With Ons is Hier, Temple Boys CPT take listeners on a journey steeped in pride, community, and defiance. Their foundation is still unmistakably Gqom – bass-heavy, chest-thumping, and crafted for the dance floors of the Cape Flats.
But their evolution is undeniable. The album includes a standout collaboration with Professor, the iconic kwaito trailblazer whose legacy spans eras and genres, further solidifying the group’s growing stature.
From Ravensmead Bedrooms to the National Spotlight
Dylin “Mr Gham” Adams, Terriano “Mr Areveerend” Duimpies, Ronin “Mr Stifler” Johannes, and Chadley “Mr Werkhom” Dick didn’t have glamorous studios or industry connections when they began.
They started in their bedrooms in Ravensmead, making beats and dreaming beyond their surroundings. Formed in 2018 at Ravensmead High, the group has since built a fiercely loyal following of more than 2 million across social media and streaming platforms (according to the group).
Their first major breakthrough came with the 2020 single “Slat n Spat”, but it was “Saggies” in December 2022 that catapulted them into national consciousness. The track dominated TikTok, earning widespread attention, including public praise from South African rap icon AKA, who posted a viral video dancing to the track with his daughter. (IOL)
That online domination translated into accolades when they closed out 2022 by winning Newcomer of the Year and Song of the Year (“Saggies”) at the Public Health Entertainment (PHE) Awards.
Their momentum continued on stage as well, with performances at major events such as Mother City Jam at GrandWest, where they shared the lineup with artists like Majozi and Idols winner Berry. (TygerBurger)
Their knack for creating infectious, crowd-moving music showed no signs of slowing. In June 2025, their single “My Man My Man” went viral on social media even before its release, fuelled by enthusiastic TikTok creators. (lite.scrolla.africa)
A New Era for Temple Boys CPT
Signing with Amayo Management – and expanding their footprint through deals with Content Connect Africa and Gallo Music Publishing – marked a pivotal step for the group. *Ons is Hier* feels like the reward for years of persistence, evolution, and community support.
This album isn’t just a release. It’s a declaration.
With Ons is Hier, Temple Boys CPT aren’t simply honouring where they come from – they’re making it clear that they’ve arrived, and they’re ready to own their place in South African music for the long run.
