    SAMA 30 Winners: The Complete List

    The 30th annual South African Music Awards (SAMA 30) crowned the crème de la crème of the music industry at the Gallagher convention centre on Saturday (the 2nd of November 2024).

    By most accounts, 2024 has been a landmark year for Tyla. The “Water” hit-maker capped it off on a high note, taking home four awards at this year’s South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

    The Grammy-winning singer, already celebrated internationally with numerous accolades, was recognized on Saturday by the SAMAs for her outstanding achievements.

    Known for her song “Truth or Dare”, Tyla won Ukhozi FM Female Artist of the Year, SANTAM Newcomer of the Year, and Best Pop Album for her self-titled debut album, Tyla. She was also awarded the International Achievement accolade, bringing her total wins at the event to four.

    With Grammy, BET, and MTV Music Awards already under her belt, Tyla has now added South Africa’s highest music honor to her collection.

    Best Traditional Faith Music Album: Mo Roriseng – Omega Khunou

    Best Traditional Music Album: Hamba Naye – Soul Brothers

    Beste Kontemporêre Musiek Album: Estetika – Elandré

    Beste Pop: Almal Gly – Die Piesangskille

    Remix of the Year: Weekend Special (Jnr SA remix) – Jnr SA

    Ukhozi FM Female Artist of the Year: Tyla – Tyla

    Santam Newcomer of the Year: Tyla – Tyla

    SAMPRA Album of the Year: Isimo – Kabza De Small and Mthunzi
