    More info about Tyla

From humble beginnings to international fame, Tyla has become one of South Africa’s greatest musical success stories. Best known for her viral, award-winning track ‘Water’, she continues to shatter records worldwide in what has been a breakout year.

“I’ve been traveling the world and experiencing so much, but now it’s time to come home. I can’t wait to perform for my TYGERS and share this moment with all of you!” Tyla shared with excitement.

In February 2024, Tyla made history by winning the inaugural Best African Music Performance award at the GRAMMYs, and her rise shows no signs of slowing down. ‘Water’ propelled Tyla to the highest-charting female soloist from South Africa on the US Hot 100, peaking at #7.

She also became the youngest-ever South African and the first South African soloist in over 55 years to enter the Billboard Hot 100. The track dominated charts, reaching #1 on the Billboard Afrobeats, Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Hot R&B Songs, and Adult R&B Airplay charts in the US.

Tyla also took home the BET Awards for Best New Artist and Best International Act, and the MTV VMA for Best New Artist, while earning nominations for a BRIT Award, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and an Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song.

As a powerhouse vocalist and performer, Tyla has received multiple South African Music Award nominations, including Record of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Best Pop Album, and Best Collaboration.

In March 2024, Tyla released her debut self-titled album, which soared to #1 on the US World Albums chart. Lauded by critics, she showcases her unique ability to fuse amapiano, afrobeats, contemporary R&B, and pop into her signature ‘popiano’ sound. Featuring collaborators like Travis Scott, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Becky G, the album has garnered widespread acclaim.

With international recognition pouring in, NME hails Tyla as “South Africa’s brightest new star,” Rolling Stone praises her debut album as a testament to her role as “the perfect amapiano ambassador,” and Pitchfork declares her “a vocal powerhouse” whose album offers a fresh, pop-R&B sound pulsing with the energy of amapiano.

Tyla’s global stardom continues to soar, with recent standout performances at Louis Vuitton’s pre-Olympics party in Paris and at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. Now, she’s bringing her electrifying performances home.

Don’t miss out on the critically acclaimed ‘Queen of Popiano’. Mark October 10th on your calendar and grab your tickets because Tyla is coming home to her TYGERS!
