Oooth have colaborated with SA Music Icon, PJ Powers on a song called “It’s Quite Simple”. It’s a fact that 2021 has been an amazing and busy year for Joburg rockers Oooth, but Jason Oosthuizen, founder and lead singer, is not done yet.
What started with the release of their 2nd studio rock album, ‘Nothing’s Gonna Change’ also nominated for ‘Best Rock Album of the Year’ by the South African Music Awards, Oooth has also dedicated their time and efforts on releasing a music video a month for each song on the new album with some bonus extras along the way.

August 2021, will however be an extra special month as Oooth will be releasing their very first collaboration with none other than South African Icon and Lifetime Achievement Awards recipient, PJ Powers. The song release will be paired with a rocking music video, however later in August, something extra will bring the experience full circle.
Jason Oosthuizen comments on working with PJ Powers
“PJ Powers is not only an exceptional musician, but as a person, having done so much for the people of South Africa and still being a role-model of note, I just had to take the chance and hope she was up for a bit of rock ‘n roll. For those that don’t know she is actually a rocker chic at heart, so I was super excited when she said yes to a colab.”
More Info About “It’s Quite Simple”
“It’s Quite Simple”, which is the title of this duo song, came together so smoothly with Jason writing the bases of music and his song ques in advance and then PJ Powers adding her magic on top of that as well as contributing her song parts and chorus to produce, what Oooth feels is one of their best songs yet.

PJ Powers comments on working with Oooth
“Oooth is my new best friend and band. I am so excited; I have such wonderful energy with Jason. Rock ‘n roll is the pure liquid form of energy and it’s all about the levels of energy and I think that Oooth has got those levels incredibly well metered.”
