Wendy Oldfield has shared the video for an in-studio performance of new single “One Of The Girls” featuring special guests in celebration of Woman’s Day.
Multi-award winning South African singer, songwriter, and producer Wendy Oldfield has held a legendary musical career from the late 80’s which continues into 2021. Oldfield’s latest album Salt is a rootsy folk driven exploration that finds Oldfield in a multitude of observational and contemplative moods lamenting social, personal, and environmental matters. Never one to shy away from U-turns in her lengthy career Salt presents itself in a stripped, “back to basics” approach that isn’t shy of warmth, mood and feel.

Wendy Oldfield comments on “One Of The Girls”
“I wrote One Of The Girls when I was privy to a bunch of teenage girls having an interesting conversation. The lyrics come through their eyes and out my mouth. I decided because woman’s day was coming up, it would be wonderful to create another version of the song with some of my homeys. I called a bunch of talented besties and “Baps your Aunty “, there we were singing /laughing and making something beautiful. For the hell of it!”
