More info about the Mix It Up Vol. 3 EP
On Mix It Up Vol. 3, the captivating rhythms of Amapiano blend seamlessly with the gritty US rap of hip-hop artist A$AP NAST, the soulful lyricism of award-winning Nigerian artist Teni, and the unique UK Drill sounds of Unknown T, the first drill rapper to achieve a Top 50 chart position in the UK. Under Musa’s direction, young South African producers Duppy, Nkulee, and Toby Franco showcased their talent in bringing these tracks to life.
Duppy produced the track “No Police,” a thrilling fusion of UK Drill and Amapiano, while Nkulee crafted “Living My Life,” a vibrant blend of Amapiano’s pulsating beats with lush electric piano and live bass. Toby Franco produced “Come Closer,” an energetic track that highlights Teni’s vocal prowess and musical artistry.
Musa Keys, an award-winning producer, singer, songwriter, and executive producer of this EP, is renowned for his flamboyant style and electrifying stage presence.
Following the success of his Platinum-selling 2020 single, “Samarian Boy,” he achieved further acclaim with his 2021 3x Platinum-selling hit, “Vula Mlomo,” which gained traction across the continent and led to performances in Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, and Kenya as part of his 2021 Keys To Africa Tour. “Vula Mlomo” also earned Record of the Year at the South African Music Awards.
