Their self-titled debut album, released on June 21, 2024, via Transgressive Records, has received critical acclaim, with Songlines magazine describing it as “Overpowering…this exceptional album is the very soul of simplicity” in a 5-star review.
Recorded live in one take, the album highlights the remarkable natural vocal talents of group members Pastor, Duzie, Guduza, Sthombe, and Marcus.

Renowned for their unique artistry, The Joy has teamed up with rising British star Debbie on the heartfelt new single “Feeling of Love.”
Released on the 5th of August 2024, the track showcases The Joy‘s euphoric, genre-defying sound alongside Debbie’s emotive vocals, delivering a powerful and defiant message about the emotions that come with finding true love.
