Independent singer-songwriter and APRA award winner, Ziggy Alberts, unveiled his latest single ‘New Love’ on the 9th of April 2024. The track signals a fresh chapter in his ever-evolving artistic journey.
Following the resounding success of 2023 REWIND World Tour, this latest musical offering beckons listeners into Ziggy’s realm of bright acoustic guitar and banjo melodies, ‘heartbeat’ rhythm, and uplifting vocal harmonies.
Co-produced by Garrett Kato, ‘New Love’ is reminiscent of the captivating soundscapes found within Ziggy Alberts’ ARIA Gold Certified album, ‘Laps Around The Sun’.
With his growing global fanbase captivated by Ziggy’s musical ability to write infectiously upbeat, indie-folk acoustic songs exploring universal themes introspection, love, sadness and hope, ‘New Love’ invites fans old and new to make space for new adventures and new love in all of its forms.

Fans and new listeners will notice the melodic, upbeat nature of this song which was inspired by Ziggy Alberts’ origins of busking on the streets in Byron Bay (Australia) and the passion for bringing those captivating, intimate live performances to much larger venues and audiences across the globe.

The new release serves as a beacon of hope, reminding listeners to cherish life’s simple moments and embrace the beauty of their own unique journeys.
‘New Love’ is a nod to another year of extensive touring worldwide and is the latest studio release since his hugely popular 2022 album ‘Dancing In The Dark’.
His previous album, ‘Searching for freedom’, landed #1 on the AIR Album Chart (Independent Labels) and #5 on the ARIA Top 20 Australian Albums chart in the first week of release. ‘Searching for freedom’ has received praise from the likes of American Songwriter, Atwood Magazine and Rolling Stone France.
In May 2022 Ziggy added APRA award winner to his notable list of achievements, including his ARIA Accredited repertoire including 6 Gold Singles, 1 Gold Album, 7 Platinum Singles, 1 Double Platinum single and 1 Platinum EP.
