Independent, triple platinum ARIA-certified artist Ziggy Alberts has released his seventh studio album, New Love—a powerful collection of songs that delve into personal growth, second chances, and the magic of embracing simplicity amid life’s chaos.

Written during his extensive 2023 REWIND World Tour and completed in the breathtaking Northern Rivers region of Australia, New Love serves as a spiritual sequel to Alberts’ acclaimed 2018 album, Laps Around The Sun.

The album seamlessly weaves the warmth of acoustic folk with the raw energy of rock and country, creating a rich sonic journey that deeply resonates with listeners.

Following the success of pre-released singles “I’m With You”, “Outlaw”, “Where Does The Love Go?”, “Singing for Country” and the title track “New Love,” Alberts now unveils the heart of the album—a collection of songs that celebrate resilience, joy, and the beauty of imperfection.

A standout track, “Learn Yourself,” captures the essence of self-reflection and inner discovery. Written on the North Shore of Oahu during Alberts’ first visit to Hawaii, the song carries an uplifting and hopeful message.

    Ziggy Alberts explains

“It’s about learning and understanding yourself. I often believe I need to move mountains to find happiness, but more often than not, I just need to reconnect with myself and nature, wherever I am.”

With bright acoustic melodies and introspective lyrics, “Learn Yourself” embraces the simple yet profound truth that happiness lies within.

Ziggy Alberts comments on the track

“This song is about learning and understanding yourself. I often believe I have to move mountains, to change so greatly, and then I will receive happiness in the future. It turns out, more often than not, I just need to meditate and reconnect with myself and nature, wherever I am. It’s got this super sweet vibe—we call it my Disney song,”

Released alongside the album, the beautifully shot music video offers an intimate glimpse into his recording process—flowing from sunrise yoga sessions, breathwork, and ice baths to stepping into the studio, where inspiration takes shape in sound.

The video perfectly captures the song’s essence, bringing its warmth and introspective energy to life…

With its dynamic blend of acoustic and rock-infused storytelling, New Love is designed for live performance, mirroring the spirit of Alberts’ busking roots while embracing his evolution as a global touring artist.

Though the album had been in the works for years, it was recorded in a focused four-week period, allowing Alberts to capture its raw, unfiltered magic without overproduction. The result is a deeply personal yet universally relatable record that invites listeners to reflect, dream, and reconnect with what truly matters.

New Love is now available on all streaming platforms. Join Ziggy Alberts on this new chapter of adventure, authenticity, and love. Stream/download it HERE.
