Known for his soulful and introspective lyrics and prose, Ziggy Alberts has been captivating audiences worldwide with his unique blend of folk, future-folk, and surf-inspired sounds

With ‘A Postcard from London’, he offers a fresh take on some of his most beloved tracks, showcasing his raw talent and honest writing of love, longing and self-discovery in a stripped-down, intimate setting.

In the collection of 6 tracks, Alberts offers listers a brief moment of pause and reflection with two spoken word poems ‘Camden’ and ‘Tree Watching’, from his debut poetry book ‘brainwaves’. They are short yet emphatic, leaving you in thought.

‘Runaway’ takes charge as the EP’s focus track and is the first alternative version of one of Alberts’ undoubtedly most popular songs. In his true fashion, this version of ‘Runaway’ showcases his ability to weave together honest storytelling and heartfelt melody in a way that feels both personal and mutually shared.

In the EP’s entirety, with his trademark acoustic guitar, rich vocals and soothing prose voice, he transports listeners to the secluded recording room in London, painting a vivid picture of hope, longing and nostalgia.

‘A Postcard from London’ is a beautiful blend of poetry and lyrical melodies that celebrate Alberts’ love and memories made in London Town.

The EP is available now on all streaming platforms. A limited vinyl run will also be available for purchase in Rough Trade (UK) stores and on ziggyalberts.com.

A Postcard from London coincides with Alberts much anticipated touring return to the UK and Ireland in May and June 2023. In a 12-date run of shows as part of his Rewind World Tour, Alberts be will playing esteemed and town favourite venues, including London’s Eventim Apollo (previously Hammersmith), Academy Manchester and 3Olympia Dublin.
