Vaughn Ahrens, the dynamic and genre-defying Namibian artist released his much-anticipated EP (Sub Saharan) on the 1st of March 2024. Known for his ever-evolving sound and ability to seamlessly blend diverse musical influences, Ahrens promises an immersive musical journey with this latest offering.

Drawing on the rich cultural tapestry of countries such as Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Réunion, Ahrens has skillfully woven together a collection of tracks that serve as a musical passport, inviting listeners to join him on his road trips and experience the vibrant sounds he encountered.
Equipped with his launchpad, Vaughn Ahrens programmed beats on the road, crafting lyrics inspired by the unique rhythms and languages he discovered.
Upon returning to Namibia, he meticulously polished and re-recorded the tracks in a formal studio, resulting in a seamless blend of international influences that showcase his commitment to musical excellence.
The EP delves into profound themes, touching on issues such as the abuse of power, navigating through depression, resilience in the face of challenges, and the intensity of love. Vaughn Ahrens’ storytelling prowess shines through in each track, connecting with the audience on a deeply emotional level.
