Just three weeks after the release of his second single, Vaughn Prangley is back with his debut EP, ‘Where it Begins’ – a collection of powerfully emotive songs that will take his listener on a journey.

    Vaughn Prangley comments

“I like to think of myself as more than just a musician but also a storyteller. All my music tends to have a deeper meaning, some form of values that one could relate or learn from. I’m still learning and discovering new things every day. I think I can use my youthful journey to tell stories through music.”

    Vaughn Prangley

The EP release is accompanied by a lyric video of Vaughn’s second single, ‘Green Eyes’. This super young talent has a deep passion for music and loves sharing his musical journey with other people. His music, his story and his artistic ambitions are refreshingly simple.

    Vaughn Prangley explains

“I want people to relate to the stories and meanings behind my songs. Who knows, maybe it helps them through whatever is happening in their life. I would love my music to have special individual meanings to each individual person who listens to them.”

When the world turned upside down in 2020, Vaughn took the time to reflect and write. The EP was recorded and produced at The Hit Lab by acclaimed music producer, Howie Combrink.

Prangley explains what the production process was like in studio

“I’m not going to lie… it was quite a daunting process at the beginning as it was my first time in a professional recording studio, but very quickly became the most exciting thing ever! The process of bringing my music to life, from a boy and his guitar on his bed, to fully produced songs was just incredible. I have learnt so much and was very lucky to find such an amazing producer who has a very similar thought process when it comes to music. The whole production process has been something I will never forget.”

His first single, ‘Oasis’ (which is part of his latest EP), has been charting on Mix FM and peaked at number one on the SA TOP 40 chart. The single has also been featured on countless other radio stations and online publications.
The EP consists of five singles, along with the title track as a single.

    Vaughn Prangley explains the EP

“The title ‘Where it Begins’, which is one of the tracks on the EP, shows that this is the beginning of my musical journey, this is my dream. Your initial steps are an important chapter to making a dream a reality and this EP is that first chapter.”

Vaughn and his creative team are planning an exclusive EP Media Launch on the 16th of April 2021 – something exciting to look forward to in the month of April.

There’s nothing ordinary about this super young talent who is now back in the studio finishing up his 1st album (Destination Unknown), and digging deep for material that is going to delight his already strong following.
