South Africa’s powerhouse father–son duo, Ferg ’n Son, is hitting the road this December with their electrifying “It’s in the Blood” coastal tour.
The pair combines the legendary voice of Fergie Ferguson, the frontman behind the eighties smash hit “Man on the Moon” from the iconic band Ballyhoo, with the modern flair and sharp musicianship of his son, Michael Ferguson.
Together, they deliver a genre-blending live experience loaded with pop, rock, country and timeless classics, all wrapped in the kind of energy that fills venues from front to back.

Their chemistry is undeniable. Ferg ’n Son’s shows bring together soulful melodies, crowd favourites and a contagious sense of joy that has earned them fans across South Africa and abroad.
After touring the country and performing in Europe earlier this year, they now return home with a tour built for summer nights, big singalongs and pure musical nostalgia.
Fergie’s journey started in Belfast, where he began performing as a teenager before moving to South Africa in the early seventies. He went on to co-found Ballyhoo, a group that dominated the local charts, earned six SARI Awards and released platinum-selling albums. His career spanned more than three decades on stages across Africa.
Michael carved his own path as a vocalist and guitarist. Now based in Austria, he recently dropped a new single titled “A Million and One,” due to hit South African radio playlists in November. Their decision to join forces in 2024 gave rise to Ferg ’n Son, a project that combines generational talent with a shared love of live performance.
Michael describes performing beside his father as a full-circle moment, recalling the first time he joined Ballyhoo on stage at just eight years old. Fergie adds that touring with his son feels deeply meaningful, made possible in part by support from their tour partner ChainEX.
The upcoming shows promise a vibrant mix of hits, heartfelt storytelling and classic rock and roll fire. Fans can expect a performance that celebrates music, family and the shared memories that live shows are built for.
