Last October, Up The Creek made quite a splash with the announcement that local music sensation Jeremy Loops and BreakOut Events founder and industry veteran Damon Forbes had joined the Creeker family through a partial buy-in of the iconic 2024 music festival in Swellendam, near Cape Town.

In 2025, Jeremy and Damon will take full ownership of the festival! With their extensive experience in entertainment and live events, they, along with the original team, plan to introduce new elements, featuring an international twist and more local flavor than ever before.

With less than six months to go, the countdown to Up The Creek 2025 has officially begun! Early Bird tickets for the 4-day summer festival went on sale on Friday, 23 August, and sold out in just ONE HOUR! When Creekers come together, they truly make waves!

More info about Up The Creek Music Festival

Founded in 1990, the festival continues to grow, drawing more attendees each year. In 2025, it returns after a sold-out 2024 event that saw over 2,500 attendees—the second-largest crowd in the festival’s history!

However, it remains an intimate gathering, limited to 3,000 Creekers, filled with fantastic local (and now international) music, delicious food, short queues, and an unbeatable atmosphere.

Next year’s festival is set to take place from 6-9 February 2025 at the beloved original farm on the banks of the Breede River, just outside Swellendam in the Western Cape.

Attendees can expect the freshest sounds from the local music scene, plus an international debut from Australia!

For the first time, Up The Creek will welcome Australia’s Hollow Coves, a dynamic indie folk group from Brisbane known for their earthy folk sound, acoustic melodies, and vocal harmonies.

With influences like Angus & Julia Stone, Ben Howard, and The Paper Kites, they’re bringing their unique brand of indie folk to Creekers.

The festival is calling on all loyal Creekers, who have helped create the incredible vibe it’s known for, to bring their festie-besties and celebrate the return of South Africa’s ultimate outdoor music festival.

Here’s the artists that have been announced for Up The Creek 2025 so far…

Australia’s Hollow Coves, Francois Van Coke, Matthew Mole, The Black Cat Bones, Albert Frost, Droomsindroom, Die Piesangskille, Unyazi, Ben Dey, Murray, Lucy Kruger and the Lost Boys, Warongx, Freddy L and Luukhanyo & The Hii Rollers.
