South African rock band The Stremes have just released their third single, “Overload,” now available on all major streaming platforms.
Written by vocalist and guitarist Wayne Pauli, the song delivers a heavy rock sound and explores themes of mental breakdown and addiction.
Known for their guitar-driven style, The Stremes combine the raw energy of modern rock with old-school, melodic influences. The result is a sound that’s both nostalgic and fresh—rooted in rock tradition, but geared toward today’s listeners.
The band is currently recording new tracks and music videos set for release in the coming months.
They’re also actively performing at venues around Cape Town and gearing up for a national tour, with appearances planned at various festivals across South Africa.
The Stremes are Building a Catalogue of Emotion and Atmosphere
In recent months, The Stremes have also released two additional singles:
- “The City Sleeps” – an ambient rock song that captures the stillness and mystery of London’s twilight cityscape
- “Got Myself Together” – a heartfelt rock ballad about love, longing, and digital-age disconnection
These tracks, along with “Overload,” showcase The Stremes’ emotional range and commitment to storytelling through powerful rock compositions.
