Award-winning Nigerian artist Mo Eazy has released his latest single, “Teriba” — a soul-affirming track rooted in African spirituality, resilience, and self-belief. As a prelude to his upcoming EP “Ibẹrẹ”, “Teriba” stands powerfully on its own as an anthem of surrender, strength, and unwavering faith.
Surrender, Not Defeat
The word Teriba means “to surrender” in Yoruba — but not in weakness. Mo Eazy uses this concept to explore surrender as an act of trust in a higher power.
He blends melodic prayers with affirmations to create a song that encourages self-belief and spiritual grounding, resonating especially deeply with audiences in South Africa, where music and faith often go hand in hand.
“’Teriba’ is a reminder that you don’t always need to have it all figured out,” says Mo Eazy. “Sometimes the most powerful move is surrender — not in defeat, but in trust.”
Pan-African Sound, Universal Message
Produced by Zimbabwean-born hitmaker Sabroso (real name Prosper Mangoma), “Teriba” weaves together sounds from West and Southern Africa. The result is a warm, reflective track that feels equally at home during quiet meditation or on an Afrobeats playlist.
“When I wrote ‘Teriba’, I was in a space of quiet introspection,” Mo Eazy explains. “It came from real moments of uncertainty — but also from deep faith that there’s something greater guiding us.”
From its rich harmonies to its uplifting melodies, “Teriba” delivers a message of hope, surrender, and perseverance. It’s quickly being embraced as a spiritual anthem for those navigating the complexities of life with grace and belief.
“My music is a mirror. Whether it’s joy, struggle, or growth — ‘Teriba’ captures the moment when you choose to keep going, not by force, but by faith.”

A New Chapter With “Ibẹrẹ”
While “Teriba” leads Mo Eazy’s upcoming EP “Ibẹrẹ”, a body of work that explores African identity and spiritual rebirth, the single stands tall on its own. It serves as a timely reminder that music can be both deeply personal and universally healing.
As South African audiences increasingly gravitate toward music with depth and purpose, “Teriba” arrives as a fitting soundtrack — one that uplifts and unites through rhythm, culture, and conviction.
