South Africa’s emerging talent, Ayrton, is poised to make waves in the music industry with the release of his debut single and music video, “I Will Go Far” now streaming on all digital platforms.
Ayrton’s journey into music started with a deep, undeniable connection to sound
Reflecting on his path, he shares, “Music has always spoken to me in ways words couldn’t, providing a sense of purpose and emotional release. It began with small moments—songs that moved me, picking up an instrument for the first time, and feeling the excitement of creating something new. Over time, that quiet passion turned into a dream.”
Despite the challenges life presented, Ayrton found comfort in music, which became his escape and constant companion. He spent four to five years honing his craft while working as a barman and waiter in pubs. Eventually, the opportunity arose to pursue his music career seriously.
“I realized that being a musician wasn’t just a dream; it was who I was meant to be,” he says. “Despite the struggles, the desire to connect through music has driven me forward, turning my personal passion into a full-time pursuit to become one of the next big artists.”
Ayrton’s debut single, “I Will Go Far,” embodies this passion and serves as an anthem for anyone chasing their dreams and overcoming obstacles.
“The song was inspired by my own experiences of pushing through challenges and the determination I gained along the way. I wanted to capture that feeling of resilience and self-belief,” Ayrton explains.
The track’s heartfelt lyrics tell a personal story of ambition, perseverance, and the unwavering pursuit of one’s goals.
“The message behind my single is that there’s always a silver lining,” Ayrton adds. “No matter how tough things get, if you stay focused and work hard, the future will bring the success you’re aiming for.”
Working alongside renowned producer Matthew Fink, Ayrton found the perfect collaborator to bring his vision to life. Describing the experience as “indescribable,” Ayrton praises Fink’s ability to capture the authenticity of the moment in the studio. “Matthew is incredible at what he does. It was an honor to work with him.”
Ayrton’s unique sound blends country pop with catchy melodies and uplifting themes. Influenced by artists like Post Malone, Zach Bryan, and Noah Kahan, Ayrton aims to create music that resonates deeply with listeners.
“I want my songs to have both a great sound and a meaningful message,” he says. “It’s about combining emotional depth with memorable, anthemic tunes.”
The music video for “I Will Go Far,” directed by Leon Barnardt of LB Videography, is a visual representation of Ayrton’s journey.
In the video, Ayrton embarks on a road trip in a VW Bus, symbolizing his hope of making it far with his music. As he listens to and writes music along the way, the video beautifully captures moments of inspiration and ambition.
Shot along a scenic mountain pass in Alberton, the video’s breathtaking backdrop enhances the song’s message of freedom and dream-chasing.
Leon Barnardt, the director, reflects on the project: “Working with Ayrton was an incredible experience. His passion for the music shone through in every scene. Filming the moving shots on the road was challenging, but it pushed us to be creative, and the result perfectly captures the spirit of freedom and ambition.”
