South African Afro House producer Mac Lopez has officially released his debut EP, Pardy with Mac Lopez, a project that sees him returning to his Afro House roots while embracing inspiration from his travels across Africa and beyond.
The EP reflects experiences gathered during journeys to Qatar, Mozambique, and Tanzania—moments that reignited his passion for the genre.
“Exploring music beyond my borders showed me the universal power of Afro House,” Lopez explains. “It inspired me to dive back into my roots and create something true to who I am.” His creative vision was also sharpened at Kunye, the celebrated Afro House event curated by DJ Shimza, which reconnected him with the raw spirit of the movement.
Produced alongside EMKAY, the EP features collaborations with some of the scene’s most exciting voices, including Mawhoo, Sino Msolo, TBO, Kristinah Blue, and NOXIEKAY.
Their contributions bring soulful depth to the project’s pulsating energy, while the title itself embodies Lopez’s vibrant personality and unwavering bond with the African sound that has defined his artistry.
