“This single came about from a melody I heard in my head, the chorus melody. Lyrically, it was a time when I was alone often, so the thought of wanting company came about. And the story became more of a lover yearning for the company of someone who either doesn’t want to come over, or isn’t there anymore. For whatever reason that may be.”
“This fresh sound was once again just me wanting to try something I haven’t before and see how the world accepts it. It was very much a conscious decision to try something new and to not fall back into old patterns.”
