Rising South African singer, songwriter, and producer Kat Newood has dropped her latest single, ‘Pressure’, now available on all major digital platforms.
Her second single of 2025, ‘Pressure’ is a dynamic dance-pop track infused with funk-driven basslines, catchy guitar riffs, and Kat’s unmistakable vocal flair. ‘Pressure’ marks the long-awaited collaboration between Kat and Batundi, the award-winning, multi-platinum-selling producer known for his genre-fluid production style.
“I met Batundi a few years ago and always wanted to work with him,” Kat shares. “Creating this track with him was incredible. He’s not only insanely talented but also respectful of my need to be hands-on in the music-making process. We created something that perfectly blends both our styles.”
