Internationally acclaimed, multi-Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter James Bay is set to embark on a highly anticipated tour across South Africa. Known for his soulful melodies and electrifying performances, Bay will be bringing his artistry to fans in Cape Town and Johannesburg in March 2025.

The UK hitmaker is celebrated for his blend of soulful storytelling and modern musicianship. With a career spanning over a decade, Bay expresses deep pride in his latest work.
Reflecting on his journey, he admits he has never felt more fulfilled and looks forward to sharing his new material live. His latest LP, Changes All The Time, allows Bay to connect deeply with his fans through heartfelt lyrics.
Excited to hit the stage, he describes live performance as “graduating up through different levels of effortlessness.” He adds, “I’m trying to relax in my skin more and more onstage. You get one go at it every night live. I want to blow someone away. I want to impress them. That’s the best thing in the world.”
On stage, Bay channels musical heroes like Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles, admiring how they commanded the stage with confidence and conviction.
“Aretha and Ray Charles were certainly gifted and born with something natural, but the way they harnessed those things they were born with and effortlessly over time delivered with confidence and conviction such moving performances, that’s what I’m striving for,” he says.
With a UK Number One album (2015’s breakout debut, Chaos and the Calm) and hits like “Let It Go” under his belt, Bay has toured with icons like The Rolling Stones, opened for Bruce Springsteen, and performed at legendary venues like Madison Square Garden and Fenway Park. Now, he brings this experience to South Africa for the first time, ready to connect with his fans in Mzansi.
