Multi-platinum artist Da Mabusa returns with his fourth studio album, Ivududu – a project that seamlessly blends Dance and Amapiano rhythms with his signature soulful production. The result is a vibrant and uplifting body of work that celebrates cultural depth while embracing modern sonic textures.
The album’s title originates from the Xhosa word for the Acme siren whistle – a symbol of energy, renewal, and spirit. The concept, inspired by a dream, represents Da Mabusa’s creative awakening and his ongoing mission to fuse ancestral influence with contemporary soundscapes.
Ivududu features an impressive roster of collaborators, including Anzo, Noex, SoulQue, Sabza Womqulo, Ama Grootman, and DJ Kayd Boizen. Together, they deliver a collection of tracks that balance heartfelt vocals with infectious rhythms and spiritual undertones.
The focus single, “Ungigcine,” captures the essence of the album – feel-good piano grooves, bright steel drum melodies, and an irresistible dance energy that embodies joy and connection.
