Mauritius-born, Johannesburg-raised artist Archi is back with his latest single, “That’s What You Get,” taken from his new album Throwing Stones. Known for blending alternative pop, hip-hop, and rock, Archi continues to refine his signature sound with live instrumentation, inventive beats, and raw, emotive lyricism.
Archi has quickly established himself as both a meticulous producer and magnetic storyteller. His debut album These Thoughts featured hits like “Breakdown” and “Misses Love,” earning over half a million streams and international airplay.
With Throwing Stones, he pushes further into live energy, capturing the intensity of a band in full flight while retaining the layered production that defines his work.
On the track, Archi explains:“That’s What You Get came from a place of frustration, but also acceptance. It’s about those moments where you’ve given your all, and the only thing left to do is let go and own the outcome. I wanted it to sound like that release – messy, groovy, and real.”
Archi is making his mark on the South African Scene
Having already performed at major stages like Homecoming Africa and Cottonfest, Archi is steadily carving out his own lane in the South African music landscape.
“That’s What You Get” sets the tone for his bold new chapter, showcasing both his growth as an artist and his commitment to authentic, genre-blending music.
