Earlier this year Ultra 2014 completely blew away fans of electronic music in Cape Town and Johannesburg. It was the biggest electronic music festival ever to take place on the African continent, a historic event which saw more than 40,000 fans descend over two consecutive sold out days.
UMF Films and Final Kid released a beautiful short film that allows those in attendance to relive the magic and wet the appetites of those who missed out on what was a truly stunning weekend. The film features Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Krewella, Nicky Romero, Alesso, Afrojack, Goldfish and more.
Ultra Music Festival is set to sound off on South Africa shores for the second time next year on the 13th and 14th of February. The line-up and venues have not been announced yet, but it promises to be electro highlights of 2015. I’m not a huge fan of electronic music, but this truly looks amazing. I’m tempted to check the next edition in one of the South African cities. It seems that we’re not that far behind with the rest of the world when it comes to love of dance music.
So, if you attended one of this year’s festivals in South Africa, what did you think of Ultra Music Festival Cape Town or Johannesburg? Leave a comment and let me know what you think. Feedback is appreciated and welcome here.
