UK-based singer-songwriter Tarian, the musical project of Will John, has just unveiled his eagerly awaited second single, released via Netherlands-based label The Good Times Co. Titled “Come What May,” the track offers a poignant reflection on love, vulnerability, and the emotional toll of long-distance relationships, drawing from Tarian’s own experiences.
The song was inspired by a deeply personal moment in Tarian’s life. He explains
“’Come What May’ was written after saying goodbye to my girlfriend at St Pancras, as she boarded the train back to the Netherlands after another visit.”
“We’ve been in a long-distance relationship for a while, having first met in Australia through a series of butterfly effects.”
“The song expresses the emotional weight of being apart from someone you love. It’s like your mind is torn between two places, and your heart feels heavy until you’re reunited.”
Tarian has been steadily building towards releasing his own music over the years
His heartfelt songwriting first gained attention in 2021, when his demo “Half of Mine” caught the ear of UK rap duo Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn, who featured it on their album The South’s Got Something to Say. The track has since surpassed 1.5 million streams.
In May 2024, Tarian released his debut solo single, “Half Of Mine (Alizé),” a stunningly beautiful track that signaled the arrival of a naturally gifted pop singer-songwriter with global appeal.
