Singer, songwriter, and producer Max More has released his brand-new single “High.” A deeply personal track, the song explores the intensity of young love, the bittersweet pain of letting go, and the journey of moving forward.
“High is one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written,” Max shares. “It’s about a relationship I had at the end of high school that was unexpected, spontaneous, and unlike anything I’d ever experienced.
The connection was so strong that time felt like it stood still when we talked, and everything just flowed. But as much as we wanted it to work, life circumstances pulled us apart, and it ended tragically.”

A Story of Heartbreak and Healing
Written during the difficult process of moving on, “High” captures the tension between holding onto something precious and learning to let it go. Interestingly, Max More wrote the track before his debut single “Stuck on You” – also inspired by the same relationship – creating a musical journey that moves from clinging to love to finding the courage to release it.
“What makes this song special to me is that, while it’s fun and uplifting on the surface, its meaning runs deep,” Max explains. “It’s raw, it’s real, and I know a lot of people will relate to it. My hope is that anyone who listens feels seen and understood.”
Produced in collaboration with South African singer-songwriter Lee Cole, “High” brings Max’s vision to life with a sound that fuses emotional honesty with infectious, feel-good energy. The result is a track that feels both cathartic and irresistibly catchy – the kind of song you dance to even while it breaks your heart.
