Over seven records the South African-based artist has earned multiple accolades. Among these were four nominations at the annual South African Music Awards (SAMA’s) and two Standard Bank Ovation Awards for her live performances at the Grahamstown Festival.

The song was written with rediscovered lyrics from an old writing journal, takes you on a journey through the brain into the depths of the body to explore the fundamental state of being.
With stark imagery of a character in a storm storm lead to the Reptilian brain – the oldest part of the brain which controls instinctive thinking and behaviour for survival – Conjuring our most primal selves and reminding us that behind the façade of human trappings, we are essentially all animals. The storm – an internal weather system, an apt setting for the ‘fight or flight’ response, which the Reptilian brain controls.
