Renowned South African producer Frank Mabeat makes a compelling return with his latest single, ‘Smomondiya’—a nostalgic, emotionally resonant track that blends classic romance with modern Amapiano flair.
Featuring the soulful vocals of Mawhoo and the lyrical dexterity of B33kay SA, the song is a heartfelt tribute to the kind of love that once defined an era—before social media and dating apps rewrote the rules.
Following the success of his acclaimed project Nyeleti, which featured collaborations with stars like Cici and Eemoh, Frank pivots into more tender territory. With ‘Smomondiya’, he taps into themes of desire, beauty, and grand romantic gestures, wrapped in a rich, melodic soundscape.
Mawhoo—known for her platinum-selling collaborations with DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, and Master KG—delivers a stunning vocal performance that fuses timeless warmth with emotional depth.
Her voice, paired with B33kay SA’s lyrical finesse and Mabeat’s evocative production, gives ‘Smomondiya’ its pulse and purpose.
The track speaks to a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love—one that consumes you, inspires you, and leaves an indelible mark.
