There’s no stopping viral hitmaker Ben Rodrigues, who has just released his latest single, “Tell Me How”. This raw and vibrant track dives deep into the complexities of toxic relationships, following the incredible success of his breakout hit “Was It Real”.

Garnering over 16 million streams without playlisting and topping South African radio charts, “Was It Real” solidified Ben’s status as an artist to watch. Now, “Tell Me How” takes his songwriting to new heights, blending emotional storytelling with the nostalgic energy of pop-rock.
Co-written and produced by Devon Murray and Aidin Nortje, “Tell Me How” was inspired by a rediscovered instrumental that immediately struck a chord.
“The chorus came together in just ten minutes,” Ben shares. “The next day, I took the instrumental to the beach, where I do most of my writing, and remembered lyrics from an old song I’d written. Everything just clicked.”
The song is part of Ben’s upcoming EP, which explores the five stages of grief in relationships. Representing the “anger” phase, “Tell Me How” captures the emotional intensity of post-breakup reflections.
“It’s about navigating the frustrations and misunderstandings of modern relationships,” Ben explains. He credits his longtime collaborators, Murray and Nortje, for their consistent support. “As much as Ben Rodrigues is a solo act, none of this would be possible without my team.”
Ben’s journey to stardom has been nothing short of remarkable. With over 500,000 followers across social media and a growing global fanbase, he continues to prove his career is just beginning.
Reflecting on his achievements, Ben says, “This year has been a dream. Every project is an opportunity to connect with people and share my story. I truly believe this is just the start.”
Looking back on 2024, Ben highlights one unforgettable moment: “My first headline tour across the country is definitely a standout memory,” he shares. “Seeing people connect with the music I created in my room was a moment of actualisation I’ll never forget. It’s an experience I’ll cherish forever.”
Fans can catch Ben Rodrigues live as he wraps up the year with a special hometown performance in St. Francis Bay on the 9th of December 2024. After that, he’ll join Neon Dreams and Booshle G for the coast-to-coast Dreaming Out Loud Tour, bringing his music to audiences across South Africa.
