Cape Town-based singer-songwriter Amy Jones celebrates a week of milestones with the release of her latest single, “For You,” from her heartfelt album My Forever Friend.
The release aligns with two significant life events: Amy’s first wedding anniversary with her husband, Lee Willcock, on Monday, November 25th, and the eagerly anticipated birth of their son on Friday, November 29th.
Amy Jones’ “For You” – A Song from the Heart
Written as a tribute to her husband, Lee, “For You” is a celebration of enduring and unconditional love.
“I wrote ‘For You’ for the love of my life – Lee Willcock,” Amy shares. “It’s about a love that endures, never gives up, and never loses hope or faith in one another. This song was also our ‘first dance’ song, and I can’t believe we’re already celebrating one year of marriage. Time truly flies!”
As Amy prepares for motherhood, the song has taken on a deeper significance.
“Being 39 weeks pregnant and looking forward to meeting our son, this song now holds an entirely new and powerful meaning for me,” she reflects. “I’ve spent nine months waiting to meet this little person growing inside me, and now the time is near. I can’t wait to hold him in my arms and look into his eyes with awe and wonder.”
A Celebration of Life and Love
“For You” showcases Amy’s signature vocal warmth, paired with a catchy and heartfelt melody that resonates with listeners of all backgrounds.
“There’s nothing greater than love – the unwavering, unconditional kind. I’m blessed to have found that on earth, and even more so to share my heart through this song with so many others,” she says.
Listeners have already shared personal stories of how the song has touched their lives, something Amy finds deeply meaningful.
“It’s incredible how people have come to me with their own unique connections to ‘For You.’ Whether the stories are big or small, this song is a testament to a love that unites us all.” she says
