Playlists have always been a key part of the Spotify experience—and now, Spotify is making it easier than ever for Premium users to build the perfect soundtrack. Introducing AI Playlist, a new beta feature now available in over 40 markets worldwide.
Since its initial rollout last year, millions of Premium users have used the feature to create personalized playlists tailored to any mood or moment.
Now, Spotify is taking things a step further—allowing you to instantly turn your ideas into curated playlists with just a simple prompt.
How to Use AI Playlist
To get started, head to the Search tab on Spotify and type in “AI Playlist.” You can either select one of the suggested prompts or create your own.
From there, the app will generate a playlist using your prompt and personalize it based on your favorite genres, artists, and listening habits.
Need to make adjustments? Just ask for changes—like “make it more upbeat,” “add recent releases,” or “give me something happier”—and Spotify will refine the playlist in real time.
What Prompts Work Best?
Spotify recommends prompts based on genre, mood, or artists for best results. But don’t be afraid to get creative—think animals, activities, movie characters, colors, or even emojis!
Here are a few fun ideas to try:
- “Afrobeat tracks for the dance floor”
- “Trending K-Pop hits I need to know”
- “Reggaeton for hanging out at the beach”
- “Songs to hype me up for a football match”
- “Latin songs from my top genre”
Rolling Out Globally
AI Playlist is currently expanding across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean, giving Premium users everywhere a new way to discover music and build unique playlists effortlessly.
