Sheron, born Sharon Sibert, is a multifaceted South African-based musician, producer, and sound engineer with over 40 years of passion and three decades of professional experience in the music industry.
His musical journey began in Israel, and after immigrating to South Africa in 1995, he quickly established himself as a versatile performer across multiple genres.
Sheron’s career gained traction as a key member of the band X-Over, which performed between 1996 and 2004 across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Hong Kong, and China.
A true multi-instrumentalist, Sheron is proficient in vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keys, having played thousands of gigs and contributed to numerous projects. His repertoire spans popular music from the 1950s to today’s hits, making him a sought-after performer for audiences of all kinds.
His solo career has also seen chart success – his debut single “Hello It’s Us” reached number 11 on South Africa’s Top 40 in 2021, followed by “I Know,” which climbed into the Top 30. Beyond his solo work, Sheron has collaborated with major South African and international artists including Watershed, Amersham, Dr. Victor, and Dilana, and even performed for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
As a sound engineer and producer, Sheron has worked with top venues and festivals such as The Barnyard Theatre, Aardklop, and KKNK. His performances have graced stages at major casinos like Sun City, Montecasino, and The Carousel Casino, and he’s been part of high-profile corporate events for brands including Pick n Pay, Telkom, and Edcon. He’s also performed internationally, including at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.
With his vast experience and ever-evolving artistry, Sheron continues to innovate as a solo artist, blending his decades of musical expertise into every live performance and studio recording.
