Rewind was formed in 2022 by friends Jordan, Aiden, Davin, and John, who met at Edgemead High School. Their shared passion for rock led them to put a fresh, modern twist on classic hits.
Their unique style quickly gained attention, and their 2023 win at the Battle of the Bands at Quay 4 in Cape Town affirmed their potential as musicians, sparking their shift from covers to original music.
In 2024, Rewind welcomed Simon Jasper, who brought new energy to their evolving sound. Together, the band has developed a signature pop-rock style that blends modern rock and pop with a unique voice.
Rewind‘s music is marked by dynamic energy, heartfelt lyrics, and a focus on connecting personally with listeners.
