Berlin-based producer, songwriter, and composer Raz Ohara returns with his latest single, ‘Ignited’, released on June 27th, 2025 via House Of Frequency.
Premiered on trndmsk’s SoundCloud channel and supported by House Music With Love, the track marks the second offering from Raz’s upcoming album, Memories of Tomorrow.
This forthcoming body of work is layered with vintage analogue synths and rich, time-warped textures—a sonic journey that blends nostalgia with forward-thinking production.
The album’s first single, ‘Beyond and Deep Down’, debuted via tastemaker platform Electronic Groove and earned support from Radio Eins, further cementing Raz’s standing in Europe’s underground electronic scene.
Raz Ohara ia a Veteran of Experimental Sound
Known for his genre-defying voice and expansive musical approach, Raz Ohara has spent decades pushing boundaries and blurring lines between styles.
Based in Berlin, his catalogue includes solo releases and acclaimed collaborations through projects like The Odd Orchestra and Feathered Sun. His list of collaborators reads like a who’s who of electronic and experimental music, including Apparat, Chilly Gonzales, Luomo, Acid Pauli, and Oliver Doerell.
Drawing on influences ranging from Nina Simone to ambient and psychedelic sounds, Raz’s music resonates with fans of artists like Moderat, Bonobo, and Connan Mockasin.
‘Ignited’ is a luminous, emotionally textured track that feels at once intimate and expansive. Built on a steady bassline and layered with hypnotic organic percussion, the song unfolds like a slow-burning sunrise. Arpeggiated synth lines dance in and out of the groove, while textures rise and fall with meditative precision. Raz’s vocals drift across the mix—smoky, ethereal, and resilient.
The result is a track that feels deeply human, touching on hope and emotional strength without losing its laidback, groove-driven charm.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Raz Ohara explains: “This song is about not losing the trust in ourselves. Every challenge or lesson we need to conquer throughout life is only as hard and difficult as each individual is able to take and solve it. We are perfectly equipped for it—we need to remember and rely on this. Also, you need to find the right practices that can help you to stay present, healthy, and strong.”
With over 30 million streams across platforms and his summer residency at Babel in Ibiza just around the corner, the second half of 2025 is shaping up to be a milestone season for Raz Ohara. As anticipation builds for Memories of Tomorrow, ‘Ignited’ serves as a vivid taste of what’s to come—thoughtful, textured, and undeniably unique.
Stay tuned for more releases from Raz as he continues to carve out a bold new chapter in his eclectic career.
