The 15th of December 2023 saw the official release of a brand new single from Pedro Barbosa, entitled “Es Mi Vida”.

“Es Mi Vida” – translating to ‘It’s my life’ – was written by Pedro a while ago; after the success of one of his previous singles, ‘Latin Song’, he wanted to release another Latin offering as a follow-up to that single. Recorded and produced by Pedro’s longtime collaborator Mark Beling, Pedro describes the track as a happy, sing-a-long party song combined with satirical lyrics.
“Covid made me realise that in my personal life, I kept living for others and I needed to change that. I started intentionally focussing more on myself and what I like and need and that was also the inspiration behind “Es Mi Vida”. The song is about doing what you want and not depending on others; it’s about finding yourself and making your life a party. We are so dictated by society and the idea of this and that, but only you yourself know what you want.” says Pedro Barbosa
With a catchy melody and witty insinuations, “Es Mi Vida” is a spontaneous offering with a message of empowerment. Not one to write music to specifically fit into a specific category or box and rather focussing on the message in his heart or a specific moment in life as background for his music, Pedro feels “Es Mi Vida” is the perfect carefree summer anthem for people of all ages to enjoy.
