A glimpse into the emotional depth of her upcoming album, “Heartbreak Hotel” explores themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Inspired by ‘80s pop, the track features Una Rams and production by Select Play, capturing the raw emotions of toxic relationships.

With moody synths and introspective lyrics, it paints a vivid picture of love’s darker side, setting the tone for an album that delves into heartbreak, growth, and empowerment.

Lines like “To tell the truth / I’m just a fool / I keep falling for your lies” reflect the emotional turmoil of a protagonist trapped in a cycle of love and betrayal. The repeated refrain, “Heartbreak Hotel,” symbolizes a space of emotional chaos—one that’s difficult to escape.

With “Heartbreak Hotel,” Money Badoo enters a bold new sonic era, fusing nostalgia with a fresh, contemporary energy while staying true to her storytelling roots. Adding to the momentum, her “WAKE UP” music video, which premiered on January 17th, has amplified the track’s success, gaining significant traction across digital streaming platforms.

Shot in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, and directed by No.Ordinary.Human, the “WAKE UP” visuals reflect Money Badoo’s creative vision—blending striking imagery with her signature narrative style.

The video captures the track’s raw energy and determination, further cementing her status as a multi-dimensional artist seamlessly merging music, fashion, and storytelling.

As anticipation builds for M$RYLUV$CMPNY, Money Badoo is preparing to bring her music to the stage. Following the album’s release, she’ll embark on a highly anticipated tour, performing in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

In collaboration with the Bad Weather team—known for their work on major South African events like RAGE Festival—the M$RYLUV$CMPNY tour is set to redefine live music experiences in the country.

With “Heartbreak Hotel,” the “WAKE UP” music video, and her groundbreaking album on the horizon, Money Badoo is reshaping contemporary music

Her fearless storytelling, exploration of love and empowerment, and ever-evolving artistry are setting the stage for an unforgettable year. More than just an artist, Money Badoo is a cultural force ready to leave an indelible mark on the global music scene in 2025 and beyond.
