2023 sees Majozi being at the top of his game with regards to treating fans to new music. June 2023 saw the release of his third new single for the year, entitled “I’ll Be There”. The single comes after the release of “Safe In The Sound” in March, and “Honest” in April.
“I’ll Be There” – a powerful declaration of unconditional and divine love – was written in the middle of 2021.
Majozi comments on “I’ll Be There”
“I was thinking about my shortcomings as a human, and how hard it can be to really be there for somebody, but God is always there. He never lets us down.”
As with many of Majozi’s previous musical offerings, the single also features the themes of hope and joy combined with an upbeat and bold production, resulting in an anthem to be listened to at max volume and sung at the top of your lungs.
This track has already received commercial airplay on radio stations across South Africa and is currently one of the Top 100 Songs on SA Radio.
Check out the video for “I’ll Be There” below, It was released today.
The video for the single was shot over the course of two days in the middle of June. It took a while to finish because the team didn’t want to compromise on anything and wanted to deliver a video that is fun and great at the same time.
Majozi and director / cinematographer Dan Lewis Cole have been chatting for over a year about potential music video ideas. After observing the singer’s social media antics and the silly characters he has inhibited over the years. They decided to create a character called Captain Maj and shot some fun scenes in and around Cape Town. They also included some friends in the video to compliment the theme of the song.
Majozi comments on the video
“The concept of Captain Maj coming in to save the day for people, fits in perfectly with the song. Although I don’t think of myself as a hero for anybody, I hope people can attach their own heroes to that role, and see them instead of me.”
