Reflecting on his journey since “Blind”, Lee Cole comments on his year so far
“It’s been an amazing year. ‘Blind’ marked the beginning of a new chapter and gave my fans a glimpse of what’s to come.”
The new single, “Headrush,” captures the thrill of reliving cherished moments with a loved one, showcasing a more energetic vibe that represents a bold departure from Cole’s usual style.
Lee Cole comments on “Headrush”
“While writing this album, I felt inspired to step out of my comfort zone and explore new styles, genres, and sounds I hadn’t tried before. ‘Headrush’ is one of those tracks where I pushed my creativity in a different direction,”
Despite this fresh exploration, the song retains his signature blend of pop with subtle R&B/Soul influences. Lee describes “Headrush” as a feel-good track and hopes fans will connect with its upbeat energy.
Lee Cole explains
“When we started planning the music video for ‘Headrush,’ our goal was to capture the sense of joy and excitement that comes from spending time with someone special.”
“We headed to Cape Town, one of the most beautiful places in the world, and filmed a series of activities that symbolize the euphoria of love.”
“Alongside my director Kyle and videographer Darren, we planned an exciting tour of the city, featuring iconic spots like the vibrant Bo-Kaap neighborhood and its famous pigeons. The video was shot over a week, and we had a blast bringing our vision to life.”
