Jordi is a South African singer /songwriter from Durban. His passion for music and art started at the age of 5. His mom used to be a guitar teacher and his father was a great artist . Since he was 12 years old Jordi has played in various bands but its only recently that he thought of sharing the songs he’s written through the years and actually giving music as a career a go. It’s all he thinks about all day, every day. The ability music gives you to make a complete broken stranger smile and feel again is what drives him.
To Jordi music is an universal language that he’d love to use to connect with people right around the world. He sees it as a tool to have a tiny bit of influence in someone’s life: for where language and race may be a barrier – music is the bridge. It’s all about that connection. Recently Jordi entered Converse Get Out of the Garage 2013 and was selected as one of the top 10 artists that stand a chance to play the iconic 100 Club in London and have the opportunity to record a song at Converse’s studio in New York City. 2 days ago he released a live music video for his song “Headed for the Shore”, check it out below
Jordi is proof that South African music is alive and well. Well known SA Music blogger Gary Cool called one of his songs “3 Minutes And Twenty Six Seconds Of Goosebumps” and I’m definitely agreeing with him about that. I really see a brilliant future for Jordi.
