More info about Ghorot
Ghorot was founded by Carson Russell (Ealdor Bealu), Brandon Walker (ex-Ghost Tours), and Chad Remains (ex-Uzala), three musicians with a shared passion for creating dark, menacing music.
Wound releases on Lay Bare Recordings (Nijmegen, Netherlands), Transylvanian Recordings (Oakland, CA) and King Of The Monsters (Phoenix, AZ). The album is a relentless and brutal journey into the nightmarish realm of the band’s sound. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by legendary engineer and drummer Andy Patterson (Subrosa, Ascend, The Otolith), ensuring that the sonic quality matches their uncompromising vision.
Over the past three years, Ghorot has shared the stage with world-class bands, including YOB, Monolord, Exhumed, Khemmis, Witch Mountain, Eagle Twin, and many more. They’ve embarked on two successful headlining Western US tours in 2021 and 2022, leaving a trail of awe-struck fans in their wake.
Ghorot has also made multiple festival appearances at Treefort Music Fest (’21-’22) and Crucial Fest (’21-’22), solidifying their reputation as a powerful live act.
With Wound, they are ready to unleash a torrent of sludged-out, blackened, and defiled Ghorot n’ Roll blasphemies upon the world.
