Known for crafting tracks that hit equally hard on the dancefloor and through headphones, FiNE’s latest offering marks a bold step in their sonic evolution.

“Say My Name” was born from a place of creative flow and instinct. “We let go of the rules and leaned fully into the process,” the duo shares. “The song speaks to that quiet ache behind the smile – the things people feel but don’t always say.”

Blending hypnotic synths, a Caribbean-inspired groove, and a gritty bassline, the track is both intimate and electrifying. Nigerian vocalist Phina Asa brings depth and soul, her commanding voice giving the song its emotional heartbeat.

    Streaming Success and Global Recognition

Since its release, “Say My Name” has made a significant impact across streaming platforms, earning spots on 25 Apple Music and Spotify playlists, including six major editorial features.

The single debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday South Africa and climbed to #11 on mint South Africa, while also featuring prominently on Apple Music’s Africa Now, Afro House Nation (#3), Isgubhu (#4) and New Music Daily.

FiNE were also spotlighted as one of the “Big 5” on Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida, highlighting their growing international presence and the track’s breakout potential.

FiNE is redefining Afro House on a Global Stage

Musically, “Say My Name” continues FiNE’s mission to evolve the sound of modern Afro House. Their music merges African rhythm with futuristic production, creating a sound that’s both rooted and progressive.

Their atmospheric, edgy style has earned them recognition across the global electronic scene, consistent placements on Beatport and Traxsource charts, and a reputation as one of South Africa’s standout exports in electronic music.

Building Legacy Through Collaboration and Innovation

Through their independent label Sippy Time, FiNE have released a growing catalogue including Alpha Omega, Ubuntu, Nomathemba, and Twende.

Their collaborative work with local heavyweights such as Lemon & Herb, Enoo Napa, Citizen Deep, Nana Atta, Maline Aura, and Lizwi has drawn attention from Defected Records, Mixmag, EDM.com, TimesLIVE, and other major outlets. Each project continues their commitment to authenticity, innovation, and rhythm-driven storytelling.

    African Roots, Global Reach

Raised between South Africa and Botswana, FiNE’s music reflects the pulse of African heritage fused with global electronic sophistication. Inspired by icons like Black Coffee, Themba, Liva K, and Vanco, the duo’s sound captures both tradition and evolution – music that connects spirit, heart, and movement.

    What’s Next for FiNE

As 2025 winds down, FiNE are gearing up for an explosive end to the year. Their follow-up single, “Changes” featuring Bobbi Fallon, drops November 7th, described as “rule-bending and emotionally charged.” The duo also embarks on a South African tour in November and December, followed by Asian tour dates in early 2026, expanding their AfroTech influence across continents.

With “Say My Name,” FiNE cement their place at the forefront of Africa’s electronic music movement – building a sonic bridge between continents, grounded in rhythm, soul, and undeniable groove.
