Global Afrobeats trailblazer and acclaimed producer Del B has teamed up with rising star Merchah for their dynamic new single, “Bunda”—a bold and unapologetically sensual anthem celebrating the allure of curvaceous African women.
Infused with pulsating rhythms and magnetic energy, the track explores themes of raw attraction, self-expression, and modern-day romantic freedom.
The title “Bunda”, a slang term with roots in Portuguese meaning “buttocks,” reflects Del B’s appreciation for the natural beauty of African women. Explaining the inspiration behind the track,
Del B says: “I wanted to creatively express my love for women with curves, or as most millennials would say, women with ‘nyash.’ I’m an African man who appreciates and prefers the natural-born body of a Black African woman.”
But “Bunda” offers more than just a celebration of physical beauty—it delves into the emotional clarity and honesty that define many modern relationships. With lyrics like: “I’m not here for the love no / I’m not here for the care / ain’t got no feelings to catch oh / bring your body over here” Del B communicates a desire for no-strings-attached intimacy, framed around mutual transparency.
“When I say that, I’m talking about no strings attached and open relationships. I think the more honest you are with what you want, the less complications there will be,” he adds.

Born Ayodele Joseph Basil in Kano State, Nigeria, Del B has been instrumental in shaping the global sound of Afrobeats.
Known for seamlessly merging traditional African rhythms with modern flair, his production credits include genre-defining hits like “Why Me” by D’banj and the award-winning “Limpopo” by Kcee—which clinched Song of the Year at the 2013 Headies.
From his formative years at MidiCorp Studios to producing for industry giants like Wizkid, Davido, and Mr Eazi, Del B continues to elevate the genre with his distinctive, soulful production style. His work is not just music—it’s a celebration of African identity and innovation.
