Canadian neo-soul artist David Morin is back with a new single titled “Dreaming” – a smooth, groove-heavy exploration of post-breakup nostalgia and emotional confusion. Released via Bombay Records, this track is the latest preview of his long-awaited sophomore album Light Waves, set to drop on 10 September 2025.
Produced by Koyla, “Dreaming” delivers that sweet spot between introspective and danceable. David Morin’s signature honeyed vocals ride over a bouncy, funk-laced rhythm as he ponders the age-old question: “What if?”
“This one’s about that uncertain feeling after love ends,” Morin explains. “It’s playful and reflective at the same time — the kind of track that lets you move your body while your mind wanders.”
With its catchy chorus and soulful instrumentation, “Dreaming” walks the line between longing and letting go—perfect for solo late-night drives or sunset dance floors.
“Dreaming” follows the release of Morin’s earlier 2025 single “Foolish”, continuing the emotionally rich thread that runs through Light Waves—a record that digs into themes of love, identity, and vulnerability through a blend of modern soul and classic funk.
Tipped as a springtime anthem and a DJ favourite, “Dreaming” brings the heat while keeping its soul intact.
